Mini bio
Church, then the studio.
Raised in Philadelphia, David Bowden found an early musical home playing drums in church. In the GREATEST interview, Pink recalled joining a family friend’s home studio sessions as a teenager. Songwriting for other people came before the decision to step forward as a recording artist.
A song of their own.
“Honesty” broke through in 2018, the same year as the debut EP Volume 1. Its spare guitar-and-vocal approach became a calling card. Pink told XXL that the sudden streaming attention felt unfamiliar, having originally dreamed of being a songwriter.
Building PINK PLANET.
The debut album PINK PLANET arrived in February 2021, expanding those acoustic beginnings with fuller arrangements. Pink contributed drums, keys and bass, and brought family into “Pink Family.” “At My Worst” also gained a version with Kehlani. Pink Moon followed in 2022.
