Mini bio
How it started.
Nicola’s first overseas trip was to Cambodia at 15. After high school, she chose photography and travel over university. She launched Polkadot Passport in April 2014, introducing herself as a 19-year-old working photographer.
Finding an audience.
Her travel guides and photography grew into a full-time career. Early recognition included a silver award for Best Upcoming Travel Blogger at TBC Asia in 2016 and Best Youth Travel Blogger at the 2017 World Youth Travel Awards.
Travelling through food.
During the pandemic in 2020, Nicola and her friend Floss set themselves the challenge of cooking a dish from each of 196 countries. That project brought recipes alongside the travel stories. Her recent videos take fans into tasting-menu restaurants, while her separate creator education work teaches pitching and brand partnerships.
