Mini bio
How it started.
Nicole grew up in the Bay Area, training in studios, companies and dance conventions. She began dancing at two and teaching at sixteen. She later moved to Los Angeles, where she built her name through classes and by sharing choreography online.
An early Prince credit.
In 2013, Nicole choreographed Prince’s “Breakfast Can Wait” music video, directed by Danielle Curiel. In her Shoutout LA interview, she described working alongside Prince as an experience that encouraged her to take creative risks.
Dance made for the screen.
Her channel brings together studio routines and original visuals. Her “WAP” video with Angel Merino put queer male dancers at the center, while her “Under the Influence” class with Chris Brown became another of the viral videos she highlights. She also directed and choreographed Baby Tate’s official “Hey, Mickey!” dance video.
Helping fans become dancers.
Nicole created Kitty Kompound so people of different bodies, genders, ages and experience levels could learn online. Alongside choreography releases and collaborations, she teaches through the platform and at workshops.
