Mini bio

How it started.

Michael grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida. In a Teen Vogue interview, Michael recalled falling in love with dance at a first class at age 12. By 2016, dance videos and tutorials were going up on YouTube and Musical.ly, the app that later became part of TikTok.

Finding an audience.

Routines filmed in everyday public places became a signature, including Walmart and escalator videos. By 2020, Michael had co-founded Shluv House, bringing fellow creators together to make videos. Family collaborations became a bigger part of the work during the pandemic.

Beyond the dance clip.

Michael and the family starred in the Brat TV-produced series The Shluv Family. Other work includes co-hosting Snapchat’s Move It with Dytto, a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home and starring in the five-part Ashfall TikTok series. Michael’s official links also include gaming and fitness channels.

Building something personal.

In interviews, Michael has described dance as the foundation for a wider creative career. Shluv takes its name from self-love. In 2026, Michael co-founded Saigon Bonbon, taking on creative direction for a candy brand rooted in Vietnamese-American culture.
