Mini bio
How it started.
Before the records, Paloma trained in dance and worked as a burlesque dancer, magician’s assistant, shop assistant and barmaid. In a 2013 interview, Paloma recalled singing for extra money in the pub where they worked and being spotted by a record label.
Finding an audience.
The debut album Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful? arrived in 2009. A Perfect Contradiction followed in 2014, with the top-ten singles Can’t Rely on You and Only Love Can Hurt Like This. In 2015, Paloma won the BRIT Award for British Female Solo Artist; The Architect became their first UK No. 1 album in 2017.
Beyond the records.
Acting roles include Bet Sykes in Pennyworth and Florence de Regnier in Dangerous Liaisons. The 2024 album The Glorification of Sadness marked Paloma’s first time executive producing a record. The book MILF followed that year, and Mad, Sad and Bad opened a new space for conversations in 2025.
