Mini bio

Friends first.

Peach Pit grew from friendships around Vancouver. In their 2020 Reddit AMA, Peter Wilton said he and Chris Vanderkooy had known each other since they were five and played music together since they were fifteen. Vanderkooy met Neil Smith at school, and the band began in 2014. Mikey Pascuzzi joined as they started taking it more seriously.

A song finds its people.

Their debut EP, Sweet FA, arrived in 2016. The band say a YouTube upload of “Peach Pit” by TheLazylazyme brought a rapid following. Being So Normal followed in 2017, with songs including “Alrighty Aphrodite” and “Tommy’s Party.” You and Your Friends arrived in 2020, followed by From 2 to 3 in 2022.

The Magpie chapter.

Magpie, their fourth album, came out on October 25, 2024 through Columbia Records. Smith sings, Vanderkooy plays guitar, Wilton plays bass and Pascuzzi plays drums. The record grew into a 2025 Expansion Pack with Sir Chloe appearing on “Did You Love Somebody.” In April 2026, Live in 25 gave fans a full live album.
