Mini bio
How it started.
Felix grew up in Gothenburg and launched the PewDiePie channel in 2010. His early gaming videos, especially Amnesia: The Dark Descent, brought viewers back for his reactions and running commentary.
Finding his audience.
He became YouTube’s most-subscribed channel in 2013. Alongside gaming, he developed comedy and commentary videos, then expanded into a book, music collaborations and the YouTube Red series Scare PewDiePie.
A different pace.
Felix and his wife Marzia moved to Japan in 2022. More recent videos follow drawing and technology projects. In September 2026, he ended regular family vlogs to protect his son’s privacy, while saying he would continue making videos.
