Mini bio

How it started.

Claire Pommet grew up near Lyon, learning music theory, singing in a choir and playing cello. Drawn to American folk and French chanson, Pomme began writing songs and sharing videos online. The En cavale EP arrived in 2016, followed by the debut album À peu près in 2017.

Finding a voice.

Les failles brought Pomme to a wider audience in 2019. Co-produced with Albin de la Simone, it includes “Anxiété” and “Je sais pas danser”. The record won the 2020 Victoire for breakthrough album, followed by the female artist award in 2021.

Songs, seasons and stories.

Pomme made consolation with Flavien Berger, turning toward childhood and women who offered inspiration. Saisons followed in 2024. Its seasonal world later became Le Petit Cirque, a stage collaboration with Marie and Yoann Bourgeois. Pomme also made a film debut in Héléna Klotz’s La Vénus d’argent in 2023.

The next chapter.

Pomme’s fifth album, la forteresse, is due November 20, 2026. Bonsound’s official biography describes Pomme taking sole artistic direction for the first time, supported by the musicians who play alongside them. Its creative journey included a residency in Kyoto and time at Aaron Dessner’s studio.
