Mini bio

How it started.

Ben Lasky grew up making things online: piano performances, FIFA videos and rap freestyles. In a WUNC interview, Quadeca recalled that music became a career gradually, through repeatedly making and sharing it.

Finding an audience.

The YouTube channel grew through gaming and music. In 2018, Quadeca answered KSI with “Insecure,” bringing a much larger audience to the music. Voice Memos followed in 2019, then From Me to You in 2021.

Building worlds.

For 2022’s I Didn’t Mean to Haunt You, Quadeca wrote, produced and mixed the album and co-directed its film with Thad Swift. Danny Brown, Sunday Service Choir and Thor Harris contributed. Scrapyard followed in 2024; the sailor story of Vanisher, Horizon Scraper arrived in 2025 through Quadeca’s own X8 Music.

The next chapter.

Life 1 arrived on October 1, 2026. Its credits again put Quadeca across songwriting, production, vocals, instruments, mixing and mastering. Fans can follow the music from its first singles through to the complete album.
