Mini bio
How it started.
In a 2019 interview, Rewi traced the spark to discovering a Gronkh Minecraft video in 2012. The game’s building reminded them of playing with Lego. Soon, Rewi and friends were recording their sessions because they thought other people might enjoy the jokes too.
Finding an audience.
The Rewinside channel launched in July 2013. Rewi described moving into a house in central Cologne with other YouTubers as the turning point: making videos together made a lasting career feel possible. They completed an apprenticeship in real estate before focusing on YouTube full time.
Beyond the game.
Minecraft Let’s Plays brought Rewi an audience; vlogs, challenges and reactions expanded the mix. Today, fans can find gaming on REWI GAMING and live streams on Twitch, alongside electronic music and DJ appearances as REWI. Screen work includes a German voice role in Ein Minecraft Film and Alfie Schneider in the ZDF series Frühling.
Community beyond the screen.
Charity organisation Tangeni Shilongo Namibia credits Rewi’s 24-hour fundraising streams with supporting its work. In 2017, Rewi travelled to Namibia to see the school project in person. A 2026 Amazon video with CastCrafter also invited fans to support rainforest protection through Wilderness International.
