Mini bio

How it started.

Sacani’s interest in astronomy grew around the return of Halley’s Comet. Before his online audience, he typed the Boletim Astronômico Aldebaran and mailed it to astronomy groups, observatories and planetariums.

From blog to video.

He started CiencTec in June 2009, building a blog around scientific news and documented sources. It later became Space Today, followed by the Space Today TV YouTube channel in 2015. That channel became the center of his public science work.

A scientist behind the microphone.

He trained in geophysics at USP and completed postgraduate studies in petroleum engineering and geosciences at Unicamp. His public work brings astronomy and space exploration into Portuguese-language videos and conversations.

More ways to follow his curiosity.

In 2021 he began hosting Ciência Sem Fim with Estúdios Flow. In 2026 he introduced Além da Ciência with Grupo Primo, extending his conversations into artificial intelligence and technology. Fans can also study with him through Academy Space or meet the wider science community at Space Today Experience.
