Mini bio

How it started.

Shamoon comes from Islamabad. He taught himself music through the internet, books and tutorials, began writing songs as a teenager, and started producing around age 19 or 20. In a 2019 interview, he traced his listening from hip-hop and R&B to rock and electronic producers.

Finding his sound.

Punjabi is his mother tongue, and he grew up listening to blues. By 2013 he was bringing those influences together in songs such as “Tuntuna” and “Pind Vich.” His early online following grew through Bandcamp and SoundCloud, while “Tuntuna” reached listeners in Pakistan and India.

Records and collaborators.

The four-song Cookie EP arrived in 2018 with “Marijuana,” “Khayal,” “Karachi” and “Na Toon.” His 2021 album Scars & Screws includes “Promises” with Annural Khalid, which he produced. Later collaborations include Umair and Talhah Yunus on “6AM IN ISLAMABAD,” followed by a run of singles with Umair and dotxb in 2026.
