Mini bio
How it started.
Botan made her first hololive fifth-generation livestream on August 14, 2020. Her white-lion avatar was illustrated by Tomari. Gaming became the center of her channel, with first-person shooters and fighting games among her regular genres.
Finding her audience.
By October 2021, Botan had reached one million YouTube subscribers, the first member of hololive’s fifth generation to do so. That year also brought her first original song, “Lioness’ Pride,” written, composed, and arranged by Camellia and unveiled at her first-anniversary 3D concert.
Making room for other players.
Her Street Fighter 6 tournament project, the Shishiro Cup, grew from online competitions into a two-day event at Yokohama BUNTAI in April 2026. She also received VTuber honors at the Japan eSports Awards 2024 and 2025.
Ramen, songs, and shared projects.
Away from matches, Botan has built a ramen travel series around Japan’s 47 prefectures and developed Menya Botan ramen. In 2024, she and hololive listeners set a Guinness World Record by arranging 33,138 packaged food items. Her music includes the 2024 digital album Lights, solo singles, and collaborations with NePoLaBo and Tokoyami Towa.
