Mini bio

How it started.

Zak Ahmed began the Skeppy YouTube channel in January 2015. Minecraft server pranks and commentary became the core of the channel, with other players and friends drawn into the joke.

Finding the format.

The 2019 upload “I joined a cursed minecraft server...” became a standout, attracting more than 13 million views. That September, “So I Trapped 100 Kids in a Bedrock Cube...” showed another lasting part of the channel: gathering a crowd of Minecraft players for an unusual challenge. Skeppy later shared a personal account of growing on YouTube in a 2020 video on Skep.

Friends and competition.

BadBoyHalo is a recurring collaborator, with their shared challenges continuing into 2026 through achievement races and speedrunning. Skeppy also won MCC 24 in August 2022 alongside BadBoyHalo, Dream and GeorgeNotFound on the Yellow Yaks. Recent work includes videos with Larppy and Technolarp and a trapping video recorded on Strength SMP.
