Mini bio
How it started.
Jaryd Lazar began streaming in 2012. Looking back in a 2022 broadcast, summit1g described an early audience built through Counter-Strike, then WarZ. Trying DayZ Standalone helped that audience grow further.
A channel with room for different games.
A former professional CS:GO player, summit1g built a variety channel around games including DayZ, Escape from Tarkov, and Sea of Thieves. The YouTube channel collects both stream and off-stream moments, from long treasure-stealing adventures to short Counter-Strike clips.
The competitive streak.
That drive extends beyond Counter-Strike. On July 2, 2021, summit1g completed a Max Payne 3 Hardcore speedrun in 1:30:52, setting a world record at the time. In 2026, the channel has followed more competitive CS2 seasons alongside other games.
