Mini bio
How it started.
Before streaming, Paul spent eight years in the Australian Army’s infantry, including time in Southeast Asia using Indonesian as a translator. After leaving, he began streaming to meet people while gaming and fishing. He later taught himself video editing and started making Tarkov guides.
Finding an audience.
In a 2019 interview with Dan Gheesling, Pestily recalled publishing guides within hours of a Tarkov wipe. His YouTube subscribers grew from 400 to 30,000 in three days, bringing more viewers to Twitch too. He won Breakout Creator of the Year at the 2018 Australian Games Awards.
Learning together.
The Raid series combines full Tarkov playthroughs with survival advice. Hardcore adds self-imposed restrictions, while The Sherpa brings other creators into raids. In The Cure, Pestily and MrDrakezilla learn Project Zomboid together.
Giving back.
In 2020, Pestily directed Twitch tips to Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia. Tiltify recorded A$1,240,327.76 raised by Pestily and the community that year.
