Mini bio
How it started.
Giorgio Calandrelli grew up in Ostia with videogames as a shared passion with their father. In an autobiographical excerpt published by AIRC, Giorgio remembers the Nintendo their father brought back from Japan. Early tournaments included Counter-Strike, followed by competitive console play in Rainbow Six and Call of Duty.
From competition to a community.
After a professional career across Call of Duty and Overwatch, Fortnite helped POW3R reach a wider audience. Joining Fnatic in 2018 brought appearances in the Fortnite Summer Skirmishes; in 2019, Giorgio also played European tournaments with Jarl. Twitch streams and YouTube videos made that competitive experience something fans could follow day to day.
Putting the story on the page.
The 2020 autobiography Io sono Pow3r, written with Emilio Cozzi, tells the journey from gaming as a childhood passion to a working life in esports and streaming. That year, Fnatic also released the documentary POW3R Origine, and Giorgio won Best Italian Content Creator at the Italian Esports Awards.
Building something together.
In 2024, Giorgio joined NOVO Esports as president and co-owner. In an interview alongside NOVO CEO Emanuele Acerbis, the pair described wanting to give Italian fans an esports team to support internationally. Recent work also includes festival conversations, collaborations with other creators and a behind-the-scenes look at participating in The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline.
A cause close to home.
Giorgio began supporting AIRC in 2017. The Luigi Calandrelli fund honours their father, connecting the community’s support with cancer research.
