Mini bio
After-work beginnings.
Timothy John Betar started streaming on Twitch in 2012. In a Game Informer interview, Tim described building a computer and streaming Call of Duty: Black Ops II after work. The hobby grew until streaming brought in more than the full-time job.
A bigger stage.
Fortnite helped bring Tim to a wider audience. Then the chase for a first Fall Guys crown became a story of its own: the August 2020 win was followed by an ESPN Esports documentary about the journey.
Beyond the stream.
In September 2021, Tim moved to an exclusive YouTube streaming deal and joined Complexity as a part-owner and content creator. TimTheTatman’s Tailgate followed in 2022, bringing gaming, sports, and music together in Frisco, Texas. After the YouTube exclusivity ended, Tim returned to Twitch in September 2024 and began simulcasting.
