Mini bio

Karachi beginnings.

Talhah Yunus and Talha Anjum were friends before they started making music together. In a 2013 interview, Anjum traced Young Stunners’ beginnings to Yunus wanting to record a tribute to his late mother. Their 2012 song “Burger-e-Karachi” brought them an audience through its satire of the city’s privileged youth.

Finding a lasting sound.

After time apart, the duo reunited for Rebirth in 2017. Yunus told The National that they wanted to move beyond quick viral success and make more consistent music, drawing on soul and R&B. Their later work includes “Gumaan” and “Afsanay,” and a collaboration with Faisal Kapadia on Coke Studio’s “Phir Milenge.”

Behind the camera, too.

Yunus’s work reaches beyond the microphone. He shares directing and producing credits with Abdul Wali Baloch on the “Gumaan” video and handled its post-production. His solo Shikwa releases followed in 2024 and 2025, alongside his continuing collaborations with Jokhay, Umair and Talha Anjum.
