Mini bio

How it started.

Tash grew up in Melbourne and began playing a guitar their grandfather gave them at three. Open mic nights and busking became their training ground. Performing alone, they learned to layer instruments and vocals into songs that could fill a street with sound.

The bedroom breakout.

Their homemade Jungle performance went online in May 2016 and quickly found a worldwide audience. That year brought the Notion EP and triple j’s Unearthed Artist of the Year award. Jungle reached number three in the Hottest 100 of 2016.

From loops to albums.

Flow State arrived in 2018 and won the ARIA for Best Blues and Roots Album. Terra Firma followed in 2021, reaching number one in Australia. Tash’s work spans singing, songwriting, production and engineering, with live looping remaining a central part of their sound.

Finding the feeling again.

On the 2025 EP Return to the Roots, Tash returned to spontaneous jams and teamed up with City and Colour for Ain’t It Kinda Funny. In 2026 they signed their first global recording deal with BMG and released Something in the Water. Their next announced headline tours take them to Europe, the UK, Australia and New Zealand in 2027.
