Mini bio
How it started.
Maggie and Tyler Heath grew up in southern Texas. After writing a song together for their mother’s birthday, they formed The Oh Hellos in 2011. Their self-titled EP was recorded in a bedroom, with original artwork by Maggie.
The song that opened the door.
The debut EP included “Hello My Old Heart,” which the siblings later described as the song that effectively started their career. Through the Deep, Dark Valley followed in 2012, written, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by the duo. In early 2013, they gathered friends into a larger touring ensemble.
Stories across records.
Dear Wormwood arrived in 2015, drawing on C.S. Lewis, Patrick Rothfuss, mythology and folklore. Its songs follow a protagonist confronting an abusive relationship. Notos, Eurus, Boreas and Zephyrus then explored the origins of beliefs and the possibility of change through four records named for the cardinal winds.
The latest chapter.
Their 2025 Yours Truly tour celebrated Dear Wormwood’s tenth anniversary. Official venue copy called it likely their final tour for the foreseeable future, while saying the siblings were still writing music. In 2026, Tyler’s production work appeared on Rabbitology’s “Two-Head Hare.”
