Mini bio
How it started.
Uzair grew up in Islamabad with music around him. He told Dawn that opening for Entity Paradigm at 14 sparked his love of the stage. He released ‘Yaheen’ at 17, while ‘Tere Bin’ became the song that brought him wider attention.
A song with several lives.
Coke Studio Season 5 brought him to a national audience in 2012 through ‘Nindiya Ke Paar’ and ‘Bolay’. His earlier ‘Tere Bin’ then became ‘Tere Bin Nahi Laage’ for the 2015 Bollywood film Ek Paheli Leela, with Amaal Mallik recreating the music and Kumaar writing the film lyrics.
Albums and acting.
His debut album Na Bhulana arrived on December 28, 2016 and won Album of the Year at the 2017 Lux Style Awards. He also moved into television, playing Ghaziyan in Moray Saiyaan. His second album, Lovestruck, followed in 2021.

His 2024 EP Are you okay? collects six songs written and composed by him. Recent collaborations include ‘Dhoop’ with Shamikh, ‘Baby Girl’ with Hasan Raheem and Shahrukh, and ‘i'm sorry’ with Natasha Humera Ejaz and Sarmad Ghafoor.
