How it started.
While studying at Temple University, Vanessa built a personal brand through Instagram and the blog Vanessa Lace. A March 2019 profile from Temple’s American Marketing Association described two years of building that work, early sponsorships with Dunkin’, Cherry Hill Mall, Snap Kitchen and RX Bar, and a social media marketing internship at Bryn + Dane’s.
Finding an audience.
After graduating from Temple, Vanessa took content creation full time. In a December 2021 Mutual Friends interview, Vanessa discussed growing an Instagram audience from zero to 20,000 in less than six months and sharing advice about content and brand partnerships.
Life beyond the outfit.
Vanessa’s work also includes the motivational podcast Making Sh*t Happen, with episodes about work habits and morning routines. More recent posts bring fans into everyday life in Pennsylvania, from a home coffee setup to half marathon training. In October 2026, Vanessa documented the launch of Ferraiolo Interiors’ first vintage furniture collection.
