Mini bio
How it started
Ammar Kandil, Thomas Brag and Matt Dajer met in Montreal in 2015. Their first shared project challenged them to try 30 new things in 30 days and make a video every day. The group later called itself Generation Y Not before becoming Yes Theory.
Finding an audience
After Snapchat offered them work making videos, the group moved to Venice, California. In 2018, they reached one million YouTube subscribers, launched Seek Discomfort and challenged Will Smith to bungee jump from a helicopter over the Grand Canyon.
Beyond the challenge
Their films have taken them from Tuvalu to Antarctica, often putting encounters with strangers at the center of the story. The team describes Yes Theory as a community as well as a channel.
