How it started.
Ali began an electrical apprenticeship at 16 and spent 11 years in the trade. Meeting Lydia introduced Ali to blogging, which developed into a full-time career with support from an understanding boss.
Finding an audience.
By April 2018, Ali had more than 330,000 Instagram followers. In a Menswear Style interview, Ali described learning camera skills and editing through tutorials, and gradually becoming more comfortable speaking on camera.
What fans follow.
Today, the videos move between classic grooming, travel and life at home: building a chicken coop, harvesting honey, preparing the greenhouse and cooking seasonal meals. Ali also returned to Take Flight in 2025 to discuss rebranding and personal growth.
