How it started.
Varun started Settle Subtle as a passion project while studying. In his 2022 GQ interview, he described its growth into a full-time job and a community of 125,000 Instagram followers. His focus was useful style information that people could bring into their own lives.

During lockdown, Varun developed IfYouAskV around grooming, clothing care and everyday lifestyle questions. He told Man’s World that followers could suggest topics through Instagram Stories. Alongside fashion, his MakeADrink videos explore cocktail recipes, as he explained to GQ.
From styling to design.
By December 2022, Varun was working on a menswear line. Today, Subtle names him and bespoke tailoring specialist Gyanesh Sarvaiya as its designers. The label focuses on considered fits, construction and clothes intended to work across seasons.
