Mini bio
How it started.
Five friends with channels of their own made Beta Squad official in February 2019, moving into a shared house and launching a joint YouTube channel. Chunkz and AJ had met while working at a cinema; Sharky connected with Chunkz after discovering they lived near each other.
Finding their audience.
Their early challenges included living on £1 for a day and comparing a $10 hotel with a $10 million one. By October 2019, the shared channel had nearly 400,000 subscribers. The group also gave fans a place to watch all five friends together while supporting their individual channels.
Growing together.
They reached 10 million subscribers in 2024 and marked it with photos of their YouTube plaques. In their December interview, Sharky picked the charity football match as the group’s highlight of the year. By late 2025, Chunkz said Beta Squad was filming in seasons; their October 2026 mukbang looked ahead to season five.
