How it started.
Before the reality cameras, Kim organized celebrity closets and sold clients’ unwanted clothes on eBay. In an early interview clip, Kim described that work and said a show about daily life and the closet business would be fun.
The family show.
Keeping Up with the Kardashians began in 2007 and ran until 2021. Fans followed the family into Hulu’s The Kardashians in 2022, with Kim also serving as an executive producer.
Building SKIMS.
Kim co-founded SKIMS with Jens Grede in 2019. The underwear, shapewear and loungewear business grew from a practical frustration: Kim told Vogue that existing shapewear offered too few skin-tone options. NikeSKIMS brought that interest in fit into performance clothing in 2025.
Beyond reality TV.
Kim played Siobhan Corbyn in American Horror Story: Delicate before starring in and executive producing All’s Fair. Away from filming, Kim has advocated for criminal justice reform, including lobbying for Alice Marie Johnson’s sentence commutation in 2018, and completed a legal apprenticeship in 2025.
