Mini bio
How it started.
Bushra grew up in Lahore in the home of journalist and writer Ahmad Bashir. She began performing as a child singer, then worked with Farooq Qaiser in puppetry before collaborating with Moin Akhtar and Anwar Maqsood in Karachi.

Sketch comedy in Fifty Fifty helped establish her comic voice. Her range stretches from Jahan Ara Begum in Aangan Terha and the matriarch of Bilqees Kaur to Sheedan, the wedding singer in Udaari. In her Good Times interview, she singled out Sheedan as especially close to her heart for the character’s independence.
A song across the border.
In 2019 she performed Humsaye Maa Jaye with her sister Asma Abbas. Their sister Neelum Ahmad Bashir wrote the poetry, with the video presenting neighbours separated by a wall and asking for peace between India and Pakistan.

On Aaj TV in March 2025, Bushra said her daughter Nariman had created her YouTube channel and encouraged her to make content. Vlogging became a way to share thoughts and small moments wherever she went, alongside her continuing acting work.
