Mini bio
How it started.
Chris Daughtry introduced his voice to a national audience on Season 5 of American Idol, finishing fourth. After the show, he formed the band that carries his surname. Their self-titled debut arrived in 2006, with songs including “It’s Not Over” and “Home.”
Songs fans grew up with.
The debut became the top-selling album of 2007. Leave This Town followed in 2009, then Break the Spell, Baptized and Cage to Rattle. Across those records, the band explored guitar rock, ballads and pop sounds while keeping Chris’s voice at the center.
A heavier chapter.
Dearly Beloved arrived in 2021. The band later teamed with Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale for a cover of Journey’s “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart).” “Artificial” and “Pieces” brought consecutive Active Rock number ones, leading into the two-part Shock to the System project. In 2026, Daughtry announced an acoustic tour marking 20 years together.
