Mini bio

Music around the house.

Guy and Howard Lawrence began by making music at home and sharing tracks online. In a 2012 interview, Guy described how putting their music on the internet brought them attention. Podcasts and mixes helped shape their early dance music listening before they had much experience of clubs.

The songs that opened doors.

“Latch”, featuring Sam Smith, introduced many listeners to Disclosure in 2012. Their debut album Settle followed in 2013 and topped the UK album chart. Its mix of house and garage rhythms with guest vocals became a foundation for their sound.

A growing circle of voices.

Caracal followed in 2015, with guests including Lorde, The Weeknd and Miguel. ENERGY arrived in 2020. On 2023’s Alchemy, the brothers tried a different approach: their fourth album used neither guest features nor samples.

Still making room for new ideas.

Recent releases include “King Steps” with Pa Salieu, “NO CAP” with Anderson .Paak and “Deeper” with Leon Thomas. In March 2026, they released “The Sun Comes Up Tremendous”.
