Mini bio
A different first career.
Before working with horses, Mike served in the Air Force as an F-16 avionics technician and in the Coast Guard as a helicopter pilot. After retiring from the military, he ran a business helping seniors learn computer skills and repairing their computers. A chiropractor he met through business networking sparked his next career.
Finding his way to horses.
He attended the Options for Animals program in 2015 and earned his chiropractic doctorate in 2016. On the On the Rail podcast, he described being intimidated by horses growing up, then becoming interested in equine work after a seminar with animal chiropractor Dr. Jay Komarek.
Taking the work online.
Mike’s videos bring viewers into his sessions with horses. In his Making Strides interview, he said he initially hesitated to film his work, but began posting to explain his approach and educate viewers. His teaching also includes the Stretching Exercises for Horses book and Equine Stretching Masterclass.
