Mini bio

How it started.

The idea began in Münster in 2005, when Janusz led a school media workshop. Students made a German-learning video as a gift for two Vietnamese students, Thy and Trang. He uploaded it to YouTube about a year later, and that little film eventually found almost two million viewers.

Growing together.

Cari and Janusz co-founded Easy Languages in 2013. In 2014, they moved to Berlin to turn Easy German into more than a hobby. The interview format grew into an international network, with local teams making videos in their own languages.

What fans support.

Easy Languages produces Easy German and Easy Spanish while supporting partner teams through its franchise network. Free videos and podcasts let learners hear everyday speech; memberships add learning materials and help teams keep producing. The network also trains creators to share voices from their own communities.
