Mini bio
How it started.
Elisa comes from Rovereto in northern Italy. In a 2025 interview, they recalled starting a YouTube channel at 12, filming makeup videos with a best friend. The videos were private at first, then made public with their parents’ permission.
Finding an audience.
Dance and lip-sync clips on Musical.ly brought a much wider audience. By March 2018, local newspaper L’Adige reported three million followers on Musical.ly and a newly reached million on Instagram. Beauty and fashion became recurring parts of Elisa’s work.
From videos to novels.
Elisa’s grandmother helped inspire their writing. Their debut novel #Ops appeared in 2018, followed by Non ti scordar di me in 2019 and Con amore in 2021, all published by Rizzoli.
A place to talk.
GRWMAINO brings guests into a makeup session for relaxed interviews. In 2025, Elisa collaborated with Sweed on lip combinations. In 2026, they co-hosted RaiPlay’s Sotto Sanremo with Anna Lou Castoldi and Nicole Rossi and competed on Pechino Express with Mattia Stanga.
