Mini bio
How it started.
Erin began experimenting with black-and-white film at 15, then studied visual arts and environmental studies at Purchase College. Years of working as an adventure guide gave Erin stories and photographs to share, and the Erin Outdoors blog began in 2014.
Finding a direction.
In 2017, Erin left side gigs to focus on blogging and photography. An invitation to Sony’s Alpha Imaging Collective followed. Travel storytelling also led to hosting My Travel Diary: Kenya for AdoramaTV and a TED talk about photographing experiences with intention.
A smaller world.
When travel stopped in 2020, Erin began building miniature landscapes from food and household objects. Our Great Indoors reached a new audience and became an ongoing part of the work. Today, Erin is based in Italy, creating photographs and films that play with scale and perspective.
