Mini bio
How it started.
Born and raised in Lahore, Faris began releasing rap online with “Awaam,” featuring Mooroo, in 2012. He told The Times of India that he started writing it during a power cut, responding to a dengue scare and news of violence. Everyday frustration became material for his music.

“Awaam” introduced listeners to his mix of Urdu and English, social criticism and dark humour. Songs such as “Jawab De” continued that thread. His later solo work includes “Introduction,” produced by ActionZain, before Coke Studio collaborations brought him together with Meesha Shafi, Karakoram and Talha Anjum.

Faris also works as an actor. He played Mooda in Bilal Lashari’s 2022 film The Legend of Maula Jatt and Chaudhry Bali in Faraar. In music, his collaborations stretch from Coke Studio’s “Blockbuster” with Umair Butt and Gharwi Group to “Shayar” with Zain Zohaib and “Ustaadi” with Prabh Deep.
