Mini bio

How it started.

Fik-Shun began dancing at five after watching his dad send a wave through his arms. He practiced the movement daily, then picked up inspiration from other street dancers. His martial arts training started even earlier: the Shorty Awards biography says he began taekwondo at two.

The breakout.

In 2013, he became the male winner of So You Think You Can Dance season 10, alongside female winner Amy Yakima. His World of Dance Las Vegas performance to “Chain Hang Low” became another calling card, carrying his freestyle to fans online.

Building his own action world.

In a 2023 interview, he described returning to martial arts through filmed fight scenes, inspired by the action movies he loves. His recent YouTube work includes sword-fight compilations, collaborations and videos showing how fight scenes are made. In 2025, he played Blade in Death Battle’s live-action Blade vs Buffy.
