How it started.
Before the robes and public talks, Gaur Gopal Das studied electrical engineering at the College of Engineering, Pune, and worked briefly at Hewlett-Packard. In 1996, he joined ISKCON and began life as a monk in Mumbai, turning toward spiritual study and service.
Finding an audience.
He went on to share what he was learning with students, charities and corporate audiences. His publisher dates his wider online breakthrough to 2016. His own account of the journey includes speaking at the United Nations and the British Parliament, alongside fundraisers for education and rural development.
