Mini bio
How it started.
Hina grew up in Saitama, Japan, and started with cheer dance before taking dance more seriously in fifth grade. In a Highsnobiety Japan interview, Hina described a love of hip-hop jazz and waacking, especially the shapes made with hands and arms.
A global beginning.
In 2017, Hina was selected to represent Japan in Simon Fuller’s global pop group Now United. Touring and working overseas meant learning to communicate in English while building a career through music and dance.
Making room for more.
After leaving the group in 2023, Hina began a fuller solo chapter in 2024. That year brought a SLY clothing and accessories collaboration, a Vogue Japan In The Bag appearance, and an acting debut in the Hulu film まだゆめをみていたい. In 2025, Hina was named in the lineup for Now United’s Now or Never reunion tour.
