Mini bio

How it started.

Steve Menoian and Brian Burkheiser began the band in November 2013, with Eric Vanlerberghe joining soon after. Before their public launch, they spent months writing and rehearsing in a storage unit in Rochester, Michigan.

The cover that opened doors.

Their heavy take on Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” spread online in late 2014 alongside the debut EP Heart vs. Mind. They were still independent when that attention arrived, and signed with Fearless Records in 2015.

Building their own catalogue.

Lifelines followed in 2016, then TRAUMA in 2019 and TRUE POWER in 2022. At the 2020 Grammy Awards, TRAUMA earned a Best Rock Album nomination and “Bow Down” earned a Best Metal Performance nomination.

The current chapter.

For 2025’s Violent Nature, Eric took on both clean and harsh lead vocals. The band recorded at Nashville’s Blackbird Studios and produced the album themselves with bassist and keyboardist Jon Eberhard guiding the process.
