Mini bio

How it started.

Jamie’s guitar story was already a decade in the making when they spoke to Premier Guitar in 2007. That year they won the North American Rock Guitar Competition. Their influences included Eddie Van Halen, Jason Becker, Guthrie Govan, Paul Gilbert and Al Di Meola.

From player to creator.

Jamie’s official channel biography describes a move to Los Angeles at 19 after a full scholarship offer from Musicians Institute, followed by music production work for outlets including Fox Sports and A&E. They began focusing on YouTube and TikTok content in October 2021, and earned YouTube’s Silver Creator Award within the following 18 months.

What fans come for.

There is room for both a laugh and serious practice here. “Sultans Of SHRED!” reimagines the Dire Straits solo through other guitarists’ styles, while the warm-up videos turn technique into musical exercises. Jamie also releases original singles and teaches a Patreon community through weekly lessons on technique, theory, improvisation and more.
