Mini bio
How it started.
Jesse Riedel grew up in Westlake Village, California, and made skits with his brother James, who creates as Jiedel. He began posting comedy and gaming videos to YouTube in 2013, originally using the name JesserTheLazer.
From the screen to the court.
An early breakout was “NBA 2K14 In Real Life,” which acted out the basketball game’s glitches on a real court. The original video was published in April 2014. At 17, he committed to YouTube full time, building around games, sneakers and driveway challenges.
Building the squad.
His work grew into real-life basketball competitions and collaborations with professional athletes. Bucketsquad carries that basketball community into clothing, with printed mesh shorts, tees and hoodies designed in Los Angeles and released in limited drops.
More ways to watch.
His newer work reaches beyond basketball: “Jesser’s Ultimate Kickoff!” brings soccer challenges to Tubi, while Paramount+ carries “Jesser: Test the Limits.” YouTube also announced “Summer of Soccer” and a 2027 series, “Pros Vs YouTubers.”
