How it started.
Born in Italy and raised in a military family, Jessie grew up moving between places. She recalls performing “I Want to Be a Cowboy’s Sweetheart” at a talent show in Baker, Louisiana, as a child. After high school, she moved to Nashville with her mom and stepdad to pursue music.
Finding her sound.
Her self-titled debut arrived in 2009 under the name Jessie James and introduced listeners to “Wanted,” which earned an RIAA Gold certification. Country remained central to her work: her second studio album, Southern Girl City Lights, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart in 2017.

Jessie and her husband, Eric Decker, brought their relationship to television in Eric & Jessie: Game On, which began in 2013. Alongside music, she built Kittenish, her fashion brand, and made family cooking another part of her work with Just Feed Me and Just Eat.
