Mini bio
How it started.
Karen began sharing her world through Karen’s Choice in 2016. Her fashion and lifestyle posts grew into an audience that followed both her outfits and her everyday life. Collaborations with brands including Dior Beauty, Cartier and Breitling, along with magazine covers, helped her reach beyond the blog.
A personal idea.
Sunglasses have a personal place in her story. Her brand traces its beginnings to childhood insecurity about her eyes and the confidence she found in wearing shades. She turned that connection into Karen Wazen Eyewear in 2018, later expanding into jewellery and other accessories.
Building together.
Family is part of the business as well as the content. Karen co-founded investment firm KE Partners with her husband, Elias Bakhazi, who also works with her on the eyewear label. Their 2026 men’s collection put him in front of the camera as its campaign face.
Using her platform.
Alongside fashion, Karen supports UNHCR’s work with displaced communities. Her visits have included meeting Syrian refugees in Lebanon, and she has used her channels for Ramadan, winter and emergency appeals. In March 2025, she was named a regional goodwill ambassador.
