How it started.
Kathleen Fuentes grew up in Miami with Cuban immigrant parents and began posting beauty videos on YouTube in January 2013. Makeup reviews and tutorials became the heart of her channel. Her full-face drugstore makeup tutorial from February 2015 remains a familiar entry point for fans, with more than 16 million views.
From tutorials to collections.
Her work expanded into products, including the Dream St. eyeshadow palette and Dream Team lip trio with ColourPop in 2017. In November 2019, she launched Lights Lacquer with the GRL PWR collection. She has described her Cuban culture and Miami upbringing as sources of inspiration for the colors, names and stories behind her work.

Alongside makeup, Kathleen shares perfume recommendations on her dedicated TikTok account, @kathleensmells. In 2025, she collaborated with Le Monde Gourmand on Bisous de Fleur, a soft floral perfume with bergamot, orris and cashmere wood.
