Mini bio
How it started.
Rebecca and Megan grew up in Georgia playing classical music before bluegrass opened up a new world of improvisation and songwriting. As teenagers, they toured with older sister Jessica in the Lovell Sisters, winning A Prairie Home Companion’s Teen Talent contest in 2005. When Jessica left touring, the younger sisters formed Larkin Poe in 2010.
Finding their sound.
Rebecca moved toward guitar and lead vocals, while Megan made lap steel a signature voice in the band. Their debut album Kin arrived in 2014. Their online covers gave fans another way in, putting classic rock songs alongside older blues material in intimate duo performances.
Making it their own.
They started their own label, Tricki-Woo, in 2017. Venom & Faith earned a Grammy nomination in 2020, and Blood Harmony brought their first win in 2024 for Best Contemporary Blues Album. That September, they also won Americana Duo/Group of the Year.
The Bloom chapter.
Released in January 2025, Bloom explores self-acceptance and individuality. Megan, Rebecca and Tyler Bryant produced and largely co-wrote the record. It earned a 2026 Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album, and the sisters revisited five of its songs on An Acoustic Companion Volume II.
