How it started
Lee's first trip outside the United States was to study abroad in London in 1998. He traveled around Europe while he was there, then kept exploring while working in finance.
A bigger goal
He started his blog in 2006 to keep friends and family updated. That same year, a friend's email about a travel record prompted him to pursue a visit to every country. He completed the journey in Libya in 2011, aged 32.
On the road
His travel writing grew into media work and television appearances. He has also visited the North and South Poles and shares itineraries for group trips.
