Mini bio
How it started.
Charles de Boisseguin began making songs at home in 2012. Meeting keyboardist Hagni Gwon brought him into a wider circle of musicians, and the project became a live band. Flore Benguigui joined in 2015, adding a voice to what had begun as an instrumental group.
Finding their audience.
Charles has described Sonate Pacifique as an early step toward recognition and Vanille fraise as the track that brought their music to a wider audience. Their first album, Matahari, arrived in 2018. Tako Tsubo followed in 2021, and Pulsar in 2024.
A new voice.
Benguigui left in September 2024, citing health concerns and personal and artistic disagreements. The band introduced Louve that October. In October 2025 they released chrysalis together, with Louve credited as a composer and lead vocalist.
After the tour.
In a November 2025 interview, guitarist Achille Trocellier and drummer Tom Daveau said they planned to take a break after their Asia tour to rest and spend time with family. A June 2026 Miami booking was specifically billed as a DJ set.

Trivia
- Vanille fraise is an edit built around an Anita Ward sample, as the band explains in its official video description.
- The band chose Matahari after the spy Mata Hari. Indonesian fans later told them that matahari means sun in Indonesian.
- Their live cover of Daft Punk’s Aerodynamic grew out of bassist David Gaugué playing its guitar tapping part in rehearsal.
- Louve developed chrysalis from an older band loop, adding her own melody and lyrics.
