Mini bio
How it started.
Louis Cole grew up in Epsom, England. Before travel vlogging became his calling card, he drew attention through eating stunts on FoodForLouis. He then shifted toward documenting everyday life and travel on FunForLouis, beginning daily vlogs at the end of 2012.
Taking fans along.
The daily films made friends, journeys, and unfamiliar places part of a continuing story. He documented his life every day for four years. In 2017, Forbes placed him seventh on its Travel Top Influencers list.
Beyond the vlog.
His round-the-world flight with pilot Juan-Peter Schulze became Beyond Borders, a 2021 Discovery+ documentary. Louis directed and shot the film, meeting people across different cultures to explore human connection.
Building a different adventure.
Louis converted a classic VW bus to electric power using Tesla parts and later documented a solar powered scooter journey from Italy to Bulgaria. He also revisited FoodForLouis in 2019 as a place to learn vegan cooking, telling TenEighty that he wanted viewers to learn alongside him.
Life now.
Recent work brings together Costa Rica, hands-on school bus renovations, and camera experiments. In a June 2026 conversation with Forging Resilience, he reflected on fatherhood, children’s privacy, the strain of daily filming, and building a home in Costa Rica.
