Mini bio
How it started.
Lucas traces their love of piano to a keyboard their sister received for Christmas. They would slip into her room and teach themselves to play. In their artist biography, Lucas describes being self-taught, playing by ear and arranging game music, film themes and popular songs.
Finding listeners.
An early YouTube upload in June 2012 was a piano version of “The Best Is Yet To Come” from Metal Gear Solid. In April 2014, Lucas shared the original piece “Isolation,” which has since passed 16 million views. It remains a starting point for fans exploring the older piano originals.
A darker piano world.
Original releases include the 2017 album Dark Piano for Dark Thoughts, the 2018 single Sociopath and the 2019 collection 7 Deadly Sins. Alongside those originals, Lucas keeps returning to familiar stories through arrangements of music from films, games and anime.
Beyond the channel.
Lucas is credited with original music for FXitinPost’s 2019 fan film Star Wars SC 38 Reimagined. That year, Ballet Fantastique also premiered Nevermore: Stories of Edgar Allan Poe, using music by Lucas and Peter Gundry in arrangements by Nathan Farrington.
